Spiderman came to visit school last week. Ellie's teacher sent me this picture.
Last night in the midst of the usual horror show--oops I mean comedy hour--of screeching babies and whining big kids and a barking dog that is dinner time at our house, the following conversation took place:
Leo: (to Lucy, who was sitting innocently in her high chair eating sweet potatoes and pasta shells): "You're fired!"
Ellie: "Mommy, Leo said Lucy's fired."
Me: "Ellie, do you even know what that means?"
Ellie: "It means Lucy's on fire."
Me: "No, it means she can't work at her job any more."
Leo: (to Lucy, again, this time with even more feeling): "You're fired!"
Ellie: "Mommy! Leo said Lucy's fired. She doesn't even have a job!"

Have they been watching the Apprentice? Also, I'm curious about Spiderman. what was he doing at school?
Thank You! I needed a good laugh right now and that made me laugh out loud! (LOL - as the kiddos say)
Cate, no "Apprentice" viewing around here. Your guess is as good as mine as to where he learned "You're fired!" That boy!
Spidey came to school as part of a classmate's birthday party. He was a HUGE hit. And Leo was furious that he missed out and has requested Spidey comes to his party. We'll have to see about that.
Sorry, am completely distracted by Spidey's "muscles". I suppose straight latex would have been equally distracting, though, & not appropriate for a school?
